Technology Consultant
Responsibilities:
• Implement business solutions on Microsoft platforms.
• Provide timely and effective LAN administration and monitor user and system integrity.
• Conduct server maintenance regularly and document changes as related to the network.
• Assist in researching and implementing new technologies.
• Conduct on-site surveys by visiting customer's office location.
• Determine PC solutions and installations requirements.
• Perform on-site software and hardware service and support.
• Operating System and Software installation.
• Hardware upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Configure workstations to access resources, ie: shares, printers, internet, and email.
Qualifications:
• Required experience in building Internet/Intranet and Client/Server solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining LAN's.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Applicants should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of installation, configuration, and administration of Windows 2003 Server, Exchange, XP Pro/2K, NT, and 98 required.
Education Requirements:
• BA or equivalent work experience. IT degree, MCSE a plus.
Work Experience:
• 2-4 years progressive experience in IT field.
• Strong knowledge of various computer applications.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Able to work with varied cultures, abilities and styles in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and excellent follow-up techniques.
